Why I Created The PeakAir Program?

image.png

Breathwork is a tool, but like any tool, its power lies in how you use it.

Your breath is the fastest and most direct way to regulate your nervous system.

This is what will dictate how calm or how stressed you feel.

It is the gatekeeper, the simplest and most powerful stress-relieving tool that you have.

Breathing is not a choice, but the way you breathe is.

I was first properly introduced to conscious breathing or breathwork during my teenage years, and more specifically, playing high-level soccer in the UK.

My coach introduced me to a simple and easy breathwork technique.

He outlined that when we stepped on the field, we made eye contact with our direct opponent and practised three slow and calm cycles of the technique.

Lo and behold, the technique worked as expected as an on-demand kill switch for any stress or pre-match anxiety.

It allowed my mind to be free and focus on the game.

To be present and forget all my worries off the field.

From that moment onwards, I was hooked on the power that breathwork had on me.

I would be so nervous and about to start a big game.

Then, after a few cycles of practice, I’d be in the zone.

I knew there was more to this and other ways breathwork could enhance my life outside of the football pitch.

This is where I discovered how I could use breathwork to help manage my stress and anxiety, help me sleep better, and improve my athletic performance both on and off the field.

The PeakAir Program is a collection of everything I have learned over the past five years of exploring how to use my breath to maximise my athletic performance both on and off the field.

It's everything I wish I knew when playing high-level soccer in the UK.

It's everything I use in my daily life to cultivate calm and maximise my performance on and off the field using my breath.

So welcome to The PeakAir Program.

A 3-week program, with 3 live sessions and a whole host of theoretical knowledge, scientifically proven breathing exercises and ideas from fellow peers to be enjoyed.

Now, let's be honest, it’s all well and good showing my wins.

The real question is, will my PeakAir Program work for you?

image.png

Now, before we dive into the curriculum and previous testimonials from The PeakAir program, let's take a moment to dive deeper into 3 elite athletes using breathwork to maximise their performance on and off the field...

In the last few years, elite sport has quietly adopted something ancient traditions understood long before the Western world caught on: your breath is the fastest way to change your mind, your body, and your performance.

Breathwork isn’t woo-woo.

It’s a deliberate system for regulating stress, sharpening focus, improving sleep, and unlocking the physiological gears athletes need to perform on demand.

And the best in the world have taken notice.

Some of the greatest athletes on the planet now use breathwork as a core part of their preparation, recovery, and

mental resilience.

Here are three of them, and why it works.

1. Novak Djokovic: The GOAT of Tennis

Novak Djokovic has built breathwork into the core of his mental and physical preparation. Watch him between points and you’ll see it, eyes steady, shoulders relaxed, deep nasal breathing to reset his heart rate and bring his nervous system back under control.

He uses slow, intentional breaths to stay composed in high-pressure moments, regulate adrenaline, and keep his decision-making sharp when the match starts to swing.

Off the court, he integrates breath-focused sessions and recovery protocols to improve sleep, reduce inflammation, and accelerate recovery between matches.

For Djokovic, breathwork isn’t a supplement, it’s a weapon that helps him stay calm, present, and in full command of his body on the biggest stages in sport as you can see in the video.

2. Erling Haaland: The Most Prolific Goalscorer in Global Soccer

Erling Haaland uses breathwork as a way to stabilise his physiology and sharpen his focus before stepping onto the pitch.

Behind the calm, almost machine-like presence you see on match day is a deliberate practice of slow, controlled breathing to lower pre-game anxiety, regulate his heart rate, and ground his energy so he can explode when it counts. He’s spoken multiple times about using breath-led routines to stay centred, block out noise, and maintain emotional control,  a crucial edge for a player who lives in high-pressure moments and relies on precision in front of goal.

Not only on the pitch, but Haaland has outlined multiple times the power of breathwork off the pitch, most notably from a sleep perspective.

image.png

3. Steph Curry: The Undisputed All-Time 3-Point Shooter of The NBA

Steph Curry has openly talked about how breathwork keeps him locked in during the most chaotic moments of a game. He’s known for using slow, intentional breathing during free throws, timeouts, and high-pressure possessions to stay calm, present, and fully in his rhythm.

Curry has said that “breathing may be small, but it’s a game-changer,” and he treats it like a fundamental skill,  just as important as shooting, footwork, or ball-handling.

By controlling his breath, he controls his emotions, his focus, and the tempo of his mind. It’s one of the reasons he can stay composed, fluid, and lethal even in the biggest moments of the playoffs.

Breathwork isn’t just a wellness trend - it’s a scientifically proven way to boost your mental and physical well-being.

Whether you're looking to significantly enhance your athletic performance, learn how to self-regulate stress and anxiety in the moment or maximise your recovery, the benefits and science speak for themselves.

✅ 50%/ $100 off a ReflexDAO Wearable device (worth $200) to help us track your progress both throughout PeakAir and your daily life.

ReflexDAO helps you take a proactive approach to health by using wearable devices to monitor key autonomic nervous system metrics like heart rate variability and sleep patterns.

It’s also transformed how I use breathwork. Being able to track HRV and nervous system responses before and after each session has given me a clear window into what’s actually working. I now choose exercises based on how my body responds, not just how I feel in the moment. That feedback loop has helped me refine my practice, reduce stress more effectively, and use breathwork as a targeted, preventative tool, rather than a reactive one.

Having the opportunity to get access to a ReflexDAO device for 50%/$100 (shipping not included) off through my PeakAir program will be a game-changer for how you track your progress both throughout the program and daily life.

The PeakAir Curriculum

Module 1 - The Fundamentals of Functional Breathwork. Module 1 of The PeakAir Program is all about onboarding and getting you up to speed with the basics of Breathwork. In Module 1, you will gain a deep understanding of all of the fundamentals of breathwork for performance and functional breathing. What you will learn… • The process behind breathwork and why it is such a powerful tool for maximising performance on and off the field. • Understand the benefits of nasal breathing, breath awareness and optimal breathing. • Measuring your BOLT score and explaining it's significance. • You will take home 2x BreathingByEd Breathwork Session's to build your breath awareness and BOLT score before Module 2.

image.png

Module 2 - Off The Field Before you can change your breath, on the field you have to change your relationship with your breath off the field. Because how you breathe is how you think. And how you think is how you perform. Most people try to "think" their way out of stress, overwhelm, or self-doubt. But thought is shaped by physiology. Emotion is filtered through the nervous system. And your breath is the gateway to both. There was a point where I realised it wasn’t just my thoughts that were making me feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck before my football matches. It was how I was breathing. Short. Shallow. Rushed. It reflected exactly how I was feeling on a daily basis even when I was trying to act like everything was fine. Once I started paying attention to that, everything changed. Because breath isn’t just a physical action, it’s psychological. It’s shaped by how you’ve learned to cope, protect, push through, or shut down. In this module, you will learn: My most effective stress-reduction breathing techniques to shut down the fight-or-flight response when anxiety spikes. How to use the breath to slow your thoughts, regain composure, and stay centred when you feel overwhelmed. Specific breathing protocols to help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and wake up calmer and more recovered. My go-to daily regulation routines to keep your nervous system balanced — even on high-pressure days. You will leave this module with a PeakAir Stress & Sleep Breathwork Session you can use anytime the world feels too fast, especially before bed, after work, or whenever your mind needs a reset.

image.png

Module 3 - On The Field As I mentioned earlier, I was first introduced to breathwork during my teenage years and more specifically, playing high-level football/ soccer in the UK. My coach introduced me to a simple and easy breathwork technique. He outlined that when we stepped on the pitch, we caught eye contact with our direct opponent and practised three slow and calm breathing cycles. Like every other player in the team and sensible human, we thought - ‘The f- is our coach on about, practice breathing before playing football!?’ Lo and behold, these cycles worked as expected as an on-demand kill switch for any stress or pre-match anxiety. From this moment onwards, I was hooked on the power that breathwork had on me. I would literally be so nervous and about to start a big game, and then a few cycles, and I’d be in the zone. In this module, you will learn: • My top 3 breathwork techniques to calm your nerves pre-event. • How to implement nasal breathing during performance to manage air flow and keep you in a parasympathetic state. • My top down-regulation breathing exercises to help improve recovery post-performance, as well as pre-bed sleep protocols to boost recovery during sleep. • The power of CO2 tolerance for increasing endurance. • How to strengthen your diaphragm to reduce your energy cost during exercise. You will take home with you a BreathingByEd Breathwork Session to activate and strengthen your diaphragm to enhance your athletic performance, as well as a BreathingByEd Breathwork Session to increase your CO2 tolerance.
